Let's take it from the top. We are all getting settled into a routine with the beginning of a new school year. We will go from youngest to oldest this time.
Anthony: He started off the school year getting strep throat and is struggling with a cold. He loves 1st grade and seems to be adjusting to a full day of working (no more rest time) except sometimes on the weekends. He is our alarm clock no matter what time he goes to bed he is up before 7:00 am. He is playing soccer and his team enjoyed a win for their 1st game. Anthony had an assist with making a goal.
Alex: He made a big change this year with starting Middle School. He seems to have adjusted well and likes Social Studies a lot. He is playing percussion again in band. He is also enjoying soccer and his team also won their 1st game this past weekend. He will be celebrating his birthday at the end of September.
Aly: As you will see is the busiest and keeps us all on our toes making sure we are able to get her at the right times and places. She is participating in Color Guard and they have their 1st performance on the 26th. She has been attending student government meetings, book club meetings, french club and schools for schools which will be raising funds to help schools in Uganda. She is also in Choir, and is taking an advance study class load. She will be starting Girl Scouts at the end of the month. She was told she can be a part of any school related organization that she wishes as long as her grades are A/B. We will see what the 1st quarter report card brings.
Ken: Is very busy with an Anniversary celebration for Information Technology College at The National Defense University. This week will end with a Gala being held at the Gaylord Hotel on Saturday. Look for pictures to be posted. He is also preparing for his retirement in the Spring of 2009.
Dana: I stay busy trying to keep everyone moving in the right direction. I am actively working with clients in Real Estate and have a closing the beginning of October. The kids and I have also found a new place to worship South Potomac Church.
For all of those who want pictures, we will send school pictures when they come back and are hoping to have a family picture taken for the holidays.
